Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 2026

Batch Code Checker is built so that looking up a batch code leaves almost no trace. This policy explains exactly what happens to the information you give us — which is very little.

1. Batch codes are decoded in your browser

When you enter a batch code, the decoding runs entirely on your device using JavaScript that is already loaded on the page. Your code is not transmitted to a server, is not written to a database, and is never seen by us. We do not keep a log of the codes you look up.

2. Server logs

Like any website, our hosting provider records standard technical logs such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested. These are used for security and to keep the service running, and they are retained for a short period before being discarded.

3. Cookies and local storage

We set no tracking cookies of our own. If you install the site as an app on your device, a small amount of browser local storage is used to remember that preference.

4. Advertising and affiliate links

We display advertising, and some links to brand websites are affiliate links. When you click an advertising link or an affiliate link, the relevant third party may set cookies of its own and may use them to personalise advertising across other sites. We do not receive any information about the specific codes you look up from these partners.

5. Analytics

We may use privacy-respecting, aggregated analytics to understand which pages are useful and where the site is slow. These reports are not tied to individual users and do not include the batch codes you enter.

6. Children

This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

7. Your choices

Because we do not store your batch codes, there is normally nothing for us to delete on request. For anything else, contact us and we will action it.

9. Changes

We update this policy when our practices change. The date at the top always reflects the current version.
